If you fish team tourneys, with your wife, or with a regular partner, they get in the way-ALOT.
I used mine more for eating sammiches in the shade or at the ramp more than I did fishing. In fact, I am not sure I ever caught a fish with them deployed. I sold mine after 4 years.
If my next boat has them already, I will keep em. If it doesn't, I aint buying set. BTW, go 2 or nothing. 1 is a PIA.
For what ists worth, you can go with a WANG or similar and get the same effect Originally Posted by haus ive fished without them for 11 years now. I just got them last week on my new boat. Right now they are awesome because im fishing shallow and most of the time im in a river so I drop them and just fire away never touching the trolling motor. I can say im fishing way more efficient than ever before and my catching is increasing just because in 3 ft of water In a 2mph current not touching the trolling motor is so key. The fish don't even know im there. i know for sure ill utilize them in all depths and all times of the year. Last year i played with them on buddys boat in the wind in 30ft and they really slow your drift. Now for the bad, The first day I blew out the hose fitting to the pump. 2 days later it was fixed when I received the parts which I cant complain. Today when getting ready to anchor at the dock after launching I dropped them and I fried the circuit board in the other pump while it was half way down so basically my day ended before it started, pretty hard to run around with one pole stuck down all day lol. I should have the parts by Thursday to fix that one so once again no big deal. So in the first week I have completely fell in love with them and ive had each pole go out once, pretty bad luck but it will be alright. I can tell you that I absolutely hate just 1 pole. They are 10ft blades, which is what I suggest getting. no they don't need their own battery.

K and K Kustomz
K and K Kustomz is the best by far. Here's the Deal. Everyone has to abide by the same pricing due to power poles new pricing rules. However if you call Hydrilla Gear at 7 PM on any given day they aren't gonna answer the call and give you the time and service K and K will. It comes down to who provides the best service not cheapest pricing and K and K wins that battle 10/10 times.
